ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE SKIN
1.Epidermis
Epidermisoriginates from ectoderm, consisting of
several layers (multilayer).
2.Dermis
Dermis (skin) is a layer of skin under the epidermis.
The main constituent of the dermis is collagen.
3.Subcutaneous or Hypodermic
The lower layer of the skin (superficial fascia)
consists of loose binding tissue
 Conclusion
Physical examination of the integumentary
system includes skin, hair and nails. The
inspection is carried out by way of inspection
