RA 9262 (Anti-VAWC Act)

•Special law that defines acts of violence


against women and their children, or “VAWC”;
penalizes such acts; and provides protective
measures and remedies

RA 6955 (Anti-Mail Order Bride Act)


• An act to declare unlawful practice of
matching Filipino women for marriage to
foreign nationals on a mail order basis and
other similar practices, including the
advertisement, publication, printing or
distribution of brochures, fliers and other
propaganda materials in furtherance thereof
and providing penalty thereof.

RA 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act)

•An act declaring sexual harassment unlawful


in the employment, education or training
environment, and for other purposes.

• An act expanding the definition of the
crime of rape, reclassifying the same as the
crime against persons, amending for the
purpose Act No. 3815, as amended,
otherwise known as the revised penal code,

Act)
• An act to institute policies to eliminate
trafficking in persons specially women and
children, establishing the necessary
institutional mechanisms for the protection
and support of trafficked person, providing
penalties for its violations, and other

RA 9710 (Magna Carta of Women)


• Comprehensive women's human rights law
that seeks to eliminate discrimination
through the recognition, protection,
fulfillment and promotion of the rights of
Filipino women, especially those belonging in
the marginalized sectors of the society. It
conveys a framework of rights for women
based directly on international law.
