ACADEMIC FIELD TRIP IN SIARGAO ISLAND, PHILIPPINES

WHERE:
Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island
in the Philippine Sea situated 196
kilometers southeast of Tacloban in the
province of Surigao del Norte. It has a
land area of approximately 437 square
kilometres. The east where such Art Skyes
coast is relatively straight with one deep
inlet, Port Pilar.

 WHEN, WHO, WHY
• WHEN: It is best to visit Siargao every summer
around March to August.
• WHO: The people involved in the Academic Field
Trip are the students, teachers and parents.
• WHY: Siargao is known to be the “Surfing Capital
of the Philippines. It has been dubbed the surfing
capital of the Philippines due to its towering waves
Surfing and dynamic seas facing the Pacific Ocean. It is
also an island paradise of rock formations,
abundant sand bars, lush coconut groves, and
abundant mangrove forests. Siargao also offers
different Filipino Cuisine that is why Siargao is one
of the best places to conduct an Academic Field
Trip because there are lots of new things to be
discovered.

• HOW: The School will provide a bus
going to NAIA both for the students and
parents as well as the teachers that will
conduct the Academic Field Trip. After
which they will book a flight going to
Siargao Island.

culture and cuisine. Its capital,

as landmark art and ancient ruins.

with Renaissance masterpieces such
as Michelangelo’s "David" and
Brunelleschi's Duomo; Venice, the
city of canals; and Milan, Italy’s
fashion capital.

Academic Field Trip are the students,
teachers and parents.
• WHY: It is best to conduct an academic
field trip in Italy because it exposes us to
new cultures, experiences, and makes the
world a better, more tolerant place. Italy
certainly does have much to offer:
spectacular cities, ancient ruins, wonderful
museums, soaring mountains, great
beaches, and beautiful natural scenery. 11
