How to decide the direction of force :
2. At this joint, consider the regions in a clockwise sense. i.e. So we have 2 members
3. Consider member P-1, here, if we refer the force diagram, the line from point p
4. Thus, the force in member P-1 near Joint J1 will have the same downward
direction.
5. Similarly near other joints can also be determined from the force diagram.

How to decide the MAGNITUDE OG THE FORCE:
Once all the force directions at joints are known, we can obtain the magnitude of forces in
following manner.
1. Let us say we want to find the magnitude of member between J1 and J2 or in other words
we may call it member P-1.
2. Measure the distance between points p and 1 on the force diagram and convert according
to the considered scale. This will give you the magnitude of force in that member.
