Declaration of Policy for the PNP under Section 2, R.A. No. 6975
1. To promote peace and order

3. Further strengthen local government capability aimed towards the
effective delivery of the basic services to the citizenry

The State shall bolster a system of coordination and cooperation among

ROLE OF THE LOCAL POLICE

1. Initiate the coordination with the Mayor and other Local

solicit their support

ROLE OF THE LCEs
1. Adopt effective mechanisms for better partnership.
2. Ensure assistance and support to the Integrated
Area/Community Public Safety Plan (IA/CPSP).
3. Formulate a three (3) year, term-based, Peace and
Order Public Safety Plan (POPS Plan).
4. Convene the Peace and Order Council to review,
update and approve the IA/CPSP.
5. Supervise the City/Municipal POC to gather and
analyze data.

6. Mandate the full cooperation of all partners.
7. Fund and implement the CSOP programs.
8. Facilitate the implementation of the CSOP programs.
9. Designate necessary personnel - implementation of
CSOP.
