BACKGROUND

• This skill will allow you to move
up and down the court,
maneuver past defenders and
execute plays.
• LOW-DRIBBLE- low dribble
just means that you must keep
the ball bouncing low nearest
to the ground.
• HIGH-SPEED DRIBBLE-
the ball bounce between the
waist and the chest and
moving quickly.
PASSING
• The deliberate attempt to move
a live ball between two
teammates.
• CHEST PASS- Hold the ball with
both hands and pushing hard and
outward with your thumbs.
• BOUNCE PASS- Hold the ball at
chest level and bounce it off the floor
halfway between yourself and your
teammate
• OVERHEAD PASS- Take the ball
and bring it overhead and throw a
hard, direct pass to your teammate
SHOOTING
Is a skill to score a point.
Examples:
1. Lay-up
2. Free Throw
3. Slam Dunk-The slam dunk is one of
the toughest feats in basketball.
