In comparison to average electricity shortfall of 172

MW in the year 2017-18, schedule of load shedding
was ranging from 10 hours to 24 hours daily
depending on the type of feeder without any
criteria. prima facie, in violation of Rule 4(f) of the
Performance Standards (Distribution) Rules, 2005
which requires that a distribution company shall
have plans and schedule to shed up to 30% of its
connected load in the accordance with category of
consumers as prescribed therein;

Load shedding is carried out as per set standards. No
extra load shedding was carried out. The feeders
mentioned in charge sheet are running smoothly except
break down and annual maintenance of power
transformer / transmission line.
MEPCO Power Control Centre data is based on PITC based
communication meters, that have some inherited
limitations of data filtering and displaying. Actually this
was software / communication issue by PITC as some
feeders shown “OFF” while it was “ON”. Practically no
load shedding was carried out for the feeders pointed in
the list. This can be verified by the load profile of AMR
meters installed at each feeder.
As a token the detail of load profile of one account No. at
