What are the emerging challenges faced by the HIV-AIDS issue
in India today?
What is your view on the solution stated in the cases to the
then prevalent issues?

1- Zimbabwe’s launch of Studio 263 soap opera: A huge success because audience could relate to the
characters and react to the situations portrayed thus it seemed less preachy and fulfilled it’s objective of
drawing people’s attention and communicating awareness about HIV AIDS

2-APAC IN Tamil Nadu where promotional materials like pamphlets , stickers and magnetic tin posters
were used : This method spurred sale and use of condoms as the high risk HIV transmitters were targetted
and were made aware about safe sex practices through counselling
3- Condom brand Masti-

4- Team of 10-15 IPCs who spent majority of time interacting with sex workers: Personal touch and one to
one communication, though costly is very effective because communication concentrated only to the
target audience ensures more trust
5- Street play, folk dances and puppet shows: This type of activities invoked curiosity among common
people and target audience thus drawing them into paying attention to the form of communication and
the message that was being delivered through it
What new insight can you think for the brand?

• Time of Advertisement: It can be changed(only in nights) in order to prevent


visibility by kids
• Attacked Women sentiments: The campaigns were portrayed in a way that the
disease is transmitted by a women.
• Segment uncovered: Gays, lesbians and Transgender were not addressed in
the act.

EVALUATION & MEASUREMENT
In order to evaluate how effective the IMC message was several
focussed groups among the target audience will be interviewed
The research questions are as follows
1- Which ads do you remember seeing from this campaign
2- What stood out in the advertisement
3- How did it make you feel
4- What message is being communicated in this ad
5- What difference has this message brought in your daily life
Since sample population will be low so these research questions
will act as proper feedbacks and the communication design can
be changed accordingly
