INTRODUCTION:

The Bajaj Group is amongst the top 10 business houses in


India. Its footprint stretches over a wide range of industries,
spanning automobiles (two-wheelers and three-wheelers),
home appliances, lighting iron and steel, insurance travel and
finance. The group's flagship company, Bajaj Auto, is ranked
as the world's fourth largest two- and three- wheeler
manufacturer . Founded in 1926, at the height of India's
movement for independence from the British . Jamnalal Bajaj
is the founder of the companyHis son, Kamalnayan Bajaj,
then 27, took over the reigns of business in 1942. He too was
close to Gandhiji and it was only after Independence in 1947.

EXPORT

MEANING:
In international trade, “exports” refers
to selling goods and serviced produced in home
country to other markets. In economics an export
is any good or commodity , transported from one
country to another in legitimate fashion,
typically for use in trade export goods or services
provided to foreign consumers by domestic
producers.
EXPORT QUANTITY OF BAJAJ
Bajaj plans to export another 1,000 units of the pulsar 200NS to Indonesia in
August. According to Sources,the company has a current export requirement
of 120,000 bikes per month ,out of which nearly 105,000 units a product at
the Waluy (Aurangabad).
QUANTITY OF EXPORT:
•Bajaj is present in over 50 countries all over the globe

with increasing market share every year.
Market leader in motorcycles in Colombia, Central America,
Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Philippines, Nigeria, Uganda and
Kenya.

Total motorcycle exports of 726,115 in 2009-10, growth of
15% over 2008-09.
Largest exporter of three wheeled commercial vehicles in the

TOTAL PRODUCTION
After expending its two-wheeler production capacity earlier this
month , bajaj auto is planning to scale up its three- wheeler production
by another 50,00 units per month from its existing production capacity
of 35,000 units.
RC Maheshwari , chief executive officer, commercial vehicles, Bajaj
auto said that out of the total production 90% would be passenger
vehicle and rest be the good carrier.
We have spent about 200 crore for the development of each platforms.
We currently export 50% of three wheelers to oversees market like
Srilanka, Egypt and Nigeria.
Earlier this month if announced a capacity expansion of its
motorcycle production to 300,000 units in April. And its increase day
by day.
SUBSIDIES
• Government to Give 20% Subsidy on Electric Vehicles.
• If you are planning to buy a new electric two wheeler, you
may get some discount on its price. The Ministry of New and
Renewable energy (MNRE) announced 20% financial
incentive on the ex-factory prices of electric car and scooters
sold in India.
• Manufacturers have to register with SMEV (Society of
Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles) for availing the benefits
of scheme.
• For the remaining financial year of 2010-11 the government
will subsidies 20,000 units of low speed electric two wheelers
and another 10,000 units of high speed two-wheelers. In
2011-12, the number would increase to 80,000 units to 20,000
units for low speed and high speed two wheelers respectively.

EXPORT OF BAJAJ
1. Most car makers enjoyed the reprieve in Exports
with domestic sales recovery also showing in the
numbers.
2. The General Motors business increased to more
than 9,000 while Ford was happier with 7,500
sales for the month and Nissan counting 50%
growth at 1,500 units in December 2011.
Mercedes underlined the year’s 7500 sales with
a 750 units sold in December.
