 DATA OWNERSHIP

★ MedTrail believes that doctor is the only owner of his/her medical records.
★ Hence, nobody except the doctor can access patient data.
★ This data can only be accessed by doctors in mobile app or web through OTP based login.
★ Since doctor’s approval is mandatory to access data in his/her clinic/hospital, MedTrail
deploys role based authentication.
★ Web access can be provided to somebody in doctor’s clinic/hospital but only by formal
approval from doctor.
★ MedTrail doesn’t share any information in prescription without doctor explicitly requesting
for it.
 COMPLIANCE & ENCRYPTION

★ MedTrail follows and runs on HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
Compliant Servers.
★ All servers located in India (as per Personal Data Protection Bill, India, 2018) MedTrail is a
member of Data Security Council of India (a NASSCOM body)
★ Every single prescription is broken into multiple data-pieces and is encrypted with above
security standard i.e. 2048-bit RSA encryption. To read any prescription, these multiple data
pieces need to be combined together and access to combination key is only present with
the doctor.
★ This is the highest level of data encryption available in the world.
