ADVERB

 Adverb is a word which modifies adjective, verb and

sometimes another adverb in a sentence

 Simply you can say that adverb means to add some

changes to the meaning of a verb in a sentence.


 Ex: She types the CV slowly.
 Her reaction is fairly natural.
 I went to bed fairly early

Adverb is divided to the following:


 Adverb of manners
 Adverb of frequency
 Adverb of degree
 Adverb of place
 Adverb of time
 Adverb of certainly
 Adverb of quantity

TYPES OF ADVERB
Adverbs of manner:
 Adverb of manners: shows how an action happen by adding Ly
at the end of adjective we can form adverbs of manner.
Ex: She presents the homework slowly.
We give IP to the computers quickly.
Adverb of frequency
 Shows that how many times an action happen.

A- Adverb of definite frequency: once, two wise, daily, weakly,


annually, ect
Ex: He goes to shopping once in a weak.
we install update software's annually.
B- Adverbs of indefinite frequency

TYPES OF ADVERB
B- Adverbs of indefinite frequency: Always, Usually, Often,
Sometimes, Rarely, Seldom, Never.
Ex: Jamil always updates his computer software's.
He usually goes to downtown for buying new
applications.
Adverb of degree:
 Adverb of degree are also called leveling adverbs they
are used to show degree or percentage in a sentence
such as very, pretty, enough, just, almost so, ok etc.

E.g. The weather is too hot.


He talks pretty well.

He just finished his assignment.

PREPOSITION
 preposition basically means the placement before noun and

pronoun.

 A preposition a word or group of words that shows

relationship of noun or pronoun with the rest of a sentence.


 Eg: the mobile is on the disk.

 She teaches English language to them.

 Common prepositions are: between, in front of, in case

of, in addition of, on the top of, at the Corner of In, of, to, at,
by, for, what, under, above, into, onto, upon, about, behind,
beside, before, after, toward, inside, outside, below, around.

CONJUNCTION:
 Conjunction also called connector or linker is a word or

group of words used to combine two sentences, two


phrases, two words and two clauses.

 Mahmood is installing operation system and he is listening to

music.

 My computer is working hard because it has fast processor.

 Common conjunction are the following: and, that, but,

or, as, if, when, than, because, while, where, after, so,
though, since, until, whether, before, although, nor, like,
once, unless, now, except.

INTERJECTION:

 Are those words which express sudden emotion, feeling,

surprise, joy and pain. It will be noticed that they are not
grammatically related to the other words in a sentence.

 such as Wow! Oh! Outch! Hey! Mmmm!.

 Ex: Hello! Attention Please!

Oh! I got such a fright.
