Learning Model

The more advanced a nation, the
more advanced science.
Therefore, education is now
needed with a curriculum that is
PREFA able to produce the next
CE generation of the nation that has
good morality, skill and
extensive knowledge in order to
be able to compete in the
international world.
The 2013 curriculum is a
curriculum formed to
prepare for the birth of
Concept the golden generation of
of the Indonesian nation
Learnin with a system where
g Model students are more active
in teaching and learning
activities.
According to Sudjana, learning is
every effort made deliberately by
educators that can cause students
to carry out learning activities.
The learning model is a form of
learning that is illustrated from
beginning to end, which is
typically presented by the teacher.
Learning models that fit
the 2013 curriculum:
Discovery Inquiry Learning
Learning Model Model

Problem Based Project Based

Learning Learning
Discovery Learning Model

The discovery learning model (Discovery Learning) is understanding

concepts, meanings, and relationships, through an intuitive process to
finally arrive at a conclusion (Budiningsih, 2005: 43). Discovery
occurs when individuals are involved, especially in the use of mental
processes to find several laws, concepts and principles, through
observation, classification, measurement, prediction, determination
and inference (decision making / conclusions).
The learning objectives of the Discovery Learning model
 Increase the opportunities for students to be actively involved in
learning
 Students learn to find patterns in concrete and abstract situations
 Students learn to formulate question and answer strategies that
are not ambiguous and obtain useful information in finding
 Help students form effective ways of working together, sharing
information with each other and listening and using the ideas of
others
 Enhance the concept skills and principles of students that are
more meaningful
 Can transfer the skills formed in the discovery learning situation
into the new learning situation activity
Inquiry Learning Model

Learning models are designed to bring students into the

research process through investigation and explanation in a
short time setting (Joice & Wells, 2003).The guided inquiry
learning model is a learning activity that maximally involves
all students' abilities to search for and investigate something
systematically critical and logical so that they can formulate
their own findings from something in question.
Whereas Science Inquiry is essentially involving
students in real cases in an investigation by
confronting the area under investigation, by
helping them identify concepts or methodologies
in the area of investigation and encouraging in
ways of solving problems.
The Inquiry Learning Objective is to develop the
ability to think systematically, logically and
critically as part of a confident process.
Problem Based
Learning
It is learning that uses various thinking abilities of individual
students or groups as well as the real environment
(authentic) to overcome problems so that they are
meaningful, relevant, and contextual (Tan Onn Seng, 2000).
Problem Based Learning for solving complex problems,
problems using a case study approach. Students conduct
research and determine solutions for problem solving.
(Bernie Trilling & Charles Fadel, 2009: 111).
Objectives of PBL Learning are to increase the ability
to apply concepts to new / real problems, integrate the
concept of High Order Thinking Skills (HOT's),
namely the development of critical thinking skills,
problem solving skills and actively develop desires to
learn by directing self-learning and skills (Norman and
Schmidt). The development of learning independence
can be formed when students collaborate to identify
information, strategies, and learning resources that are
relevant for solving problems.
Project Based
Learning

The PjBL learning model is learning using real

projects in life that are based on high motivation,
challenging questions, tasks or problems to form the
mastery of competencies that are carried out
collaboratively in an effort to solve problems (Barel,
2000 and Baron 2011).

The aim of Project Based Learning is to increase
motivation to learn, team work, collaboration
skills in achieving high level academic abilities /
taxonomies of the level of creativity needed in
the 21st century (Cole & Wasburn Moses, 2010).

CONCLUSION
So in the 2013 curriculum there are
four learning models, four of which
are used in their own place and all
CLOSI four cannot be used simultaneously.
The four learning models are
NG Discovery Learning Model, Inquiry
Learning Model, Problem Based
Learning , Project Based Learning .
