    PROCESS
    “The act of pursuing a goal or dream”

    RESULT
    “Outcome or when you achieve the goal”
    Which one is more beneficial?
    PROCESS

    RESULT
    Why do people become goal oriented?
    - Goal-orientation is not something we learned.
    - We were born as goal-seeking, goal-oriented organisms.
    - It is instinct.
    - It is the nature of our psyche.
    Why is process orientation more beneficial?
    • Think about famous, successful and very rich people...
    • Did they stop after they get what they want???
    • NO.
    • Why??? • They more focus on the process than the result...
    • They learn step by step of the process. They see that they can make
    improvement in the process for a better goal rather than what they
    have achieved now...
    • The results we want, in business, sports, chess, etc. is
    • to WIN.
    • In business, this means satisfying the customer better
    than the competition.
    • But we cannot improve results “directly."
    • It can only be achieved by improving those processes
    (production, product development, support, etc) that
    produce results.
    Focusing on process rather than outcome is a much better
    strategy. Why?
    • - It lets you enjoy the process more.
    • - It encourages experimentation.
    • - It puts you in control.
    • - It lets you enjoy and benefit more from whatever
    outcome does occur.
    • - It will give you confidence.
