Rainforest.
• Logging and burning of forests
 Logging and the burning of forests to clear land for cultivation has made
Indonesia the world’s third largest emitter of greenhouse gases, behind China and
United States.

• Illegal land clearing

 An estimated 73 percent of all logging in Indonesia is believed to be illegal.

• Deforestation
 Deforestation is the removal of a forest and than converted to a nonforest use.
Example: trees are used for charcoal, fuel, timber ; The cleared land is used as
pasture for livestock, plantations of commodities, and settlements.

Migration can make land that should be rationed for agriculture be reduced. Countries in East
Asia, North America, and Europe have all lost cultivated land during their periods of economic
development

 Excessive use of fertilizer can cause damage to soil quality and crop quality

 Soil Erosion
 The loss soil from land surfaces by soil erosion has been significantly increased by human
activities.

 Waste water disposal site
 The river which is used as a waste water disposal site makes the river poisonous and dirty.

 Plastic waste
The amount of plastic waste found in rivers causes the river to become dirty.

 The ecosystem in river is damaged and heavily

polluted.
 The researchers also foun mercury and other heavy metals in the tissues of fished, and
deformations among fish larvae.

There are Internasional non-profits trying to work with governments and people
to reduce deforestation, educating people, and buying tracts of land to preserve
and/or replant, and donating the newly established teserves to the country while
working with the people to create new jobs.

into revers or the government hs also told the factories to
clean up their waste before being discharged into rivers.
In February, President Joko Widodo also initiated a seven
year clean up campaign.

Restore damaged ecosystems by planting trees on land where

forests have been cut down. Encourage people to live in a way
that doesn't hurt the enviroment. Establish parks to protect
rainforests and wildlife. Support companies that operate in
ways that minimize damage to the environment

I think the government should try harder laws on every illegal
company that wants to cut down our forest carelessly. The
government can also employ people specifically tasked with
reforestation of deforested forests.

In my opinion, the things that the government can do to

overcome this problem is that the government can pay
more attention to polluted rivers (how the water content or
how the conditions around the river. The government can
also be more affirmed to the citizens or the factories so
as not to throw littering into the river or the government
can also spread through media social such as the internet
and so on that how important the river is for us and how
important the ecosystem around the river for us.

In my opinion, the indonesian government can definitely do all my suggestions
because i have simple suggestions, but there are a number of things that can
prevent the indonesian government from doing my suggestions, such as the
lack of costs that the government can spend to finance all employes needed to
overcoming all these problems. Can also be an obstacle is the lack of time that
the government can give to its people to oversee all of these.
