CONCUSIONS
Aiming for a solution to the needs of the population in terms of drinking water
supply ,the council qt Lundi (Douala) has opted for the construction of a water tank,
which with help meet in needs at the population consumption at one area .To this
end, the population of Lundi has launched d a tender for the accomplishment at this
project.
This is the transwork or this work, the main objective of which is the design of
reinforced concrete water tank which will be located at Lundi. Given the water tank
retention capacity, which is very important; the dimensioning was carried out
manually and the structural strength were checked according to the constraints
acting .
The dimensioning has been done so that each element is calculated in isolation,
therefore depending on the type of stress which is specific to it, which is why we
got the following results listed in the table earlier.
At the end of this study, let us remember that the water tank is an important
part of the transport of water from the source to the dwellings .Indeed ,even if it
is only a piece of this network ,it represents the most important organ because it
is this that ,the water will be stored while waiting to be routed to the dwellings.
This dimensioning of its various elements must strictly comply with the pre-
established calculation in order to avoid premature deterioration of its structure
or even its collapse. endangering the lives of residents.
