Refers to the beliefs and assumptions that
affect our daily lives.

As a frame of reference to understand
human behaviour, the next plan of
appropriate action plans with clients.
Describes the behaviour changes which
helps in understanding how students work
and how the problem exists

The knowledge of various theories helps
GnC teachers to choose an existing theory
or or to form a new theory which is
congruent to the values and personality
for use with clients
Theory creates knowlegde by providing
generalizations that not only clarify our
understanding but may lead to some
conclusions about other situations
How a counselor choose a theory of

Their orientation training during basic
counseling guidance and counseling
training
His/her philosophy of life based on the
values and beliefs system
Experiences in conducting counseling
sessions
