Perlis is one of the branch campus of Universiti Teknologi MARA located in Arau,
Perlis, Malaysia. It was established in 1974 at Kangar, making it as the third oldest
UiTM campus in the whole country. In 1980, the campus moved to their permanent
location in Arau. Now, UiTM Perlis is the largest branch campus around the country, by
the number of student and also the total courses offered.

• UiTM has campuses in every state in Malaysia, excluding
the Federal Territories. Each state may contain more than one
campus. The flagship state campuses are led by a Rector and
smaller campuses (called city campuses) are led by a
Coordinator.
• State campuses mainly offer pre-diploma and diploma-level
programmes in themes/niches set by the flagship campus.
Some degree and post-graduate programmes are also offered
through a franchise agreement with the flagship campus.
• What is MDS ? As what I've said before it is the orientation week for new students
in UiTM. Why orientation is so important? Can I skip it? Yess , weh you can skip the
MDS , but then you'll feel soooo lost when you want to register for courses etc
because there is a lot of information delivered during the MDS through taklimat
and so on. Students from Diploma UiTM, the flow already know, but students from
matriculations, STPM and others, should never skip this programme.
