SPOT WELDING

Spot welding is a form of resistance


welding in which the parts or pieces are joined in
spots, accompanied by heat in relatively small
sections of the parts or pieces between suitable
electrodes under pressure.

Seam welding is similar to spot welding except


that series of spots are produced by roller electrodes instead
of tipped electrodes.

• It is series of continuous spot welds

• Number of spots obtained per meter of the joint are


between 200 to 400.
• Weld speed range from 0.25m to 10m per minute
