any period of time, lock the entrance door to your suite
with a sign requesting visitors to knock.

• All visitors should be monitored while on

premises
This definitely includes messengers, delivery, and
maintenance personnel. It is better to escort them to inner
office or work areas rather than simply directing them.
SECURITY REMINDERS
• Do not hesitate to question outside
maintenance personnel
– Verify that the individual was actually hired to complete a job
within SITS Premises.
– Do not let anyone wander alone though unless you are sure
that they are supposed to be there, even if you have seen
that individual perform required work in the past.
– Strangers posing as maintenance, telephone, copier, and air
conditioning service people have perpetrated many thefts.
SECURITY REMINDERS
• Secure your home
– When leaving the house or the office, be sure that door locks
work as intended.
– Use reliable lock sets and locking system for your doors.
Check all doors and windows if you have secured it all before
leaving the house or the office.
SECURITY REMINDERS
• When in Public Area
– When walking in the streets avoid wearing and using high-
value and flashy items like jewelries, i-pods, branded
sunglasses, cellular phones, gameboys, signature caps,

– Avoid using cellular phones and other costly electronic
gadgets in public. Criminals have one thousand and one
