Activity I
Complete the sentences using the correct words. Follow the
example.

• A taxi is less/more comfortable than a bus.
• A train is noisier than a car.

Rules for “comparatives”:


comparatives

• 1 syllable : (adj) + er  slower, cheaper


• 2 syllable or more: more/less + (adj)  more expensive
• Irregular: good  better bad  worse
• Ends with “y”  replaced with “i”: dizzy  dizzier

complete the dialogue with the most suitable expression.

your opinion and comparing the mean
of transport that you like the most. Give
reasons. (Use the one of your teacher
as a model)
