than a plane.
• Ships are dizzier than planes.
 Activity I
Complete the sentences using the correct words. Follow the
example.
e.g. Cars / expensive / planes.

Rules for “comparatives”:

• 1 syllable : (adj) + er  slower, cheaper

• 2 syllable or more: more/less + (adj)  more expensive
• Irregular: good  better bad  worse
• Ends with “y”  replaced with “i”: dizzy  dizzier

in the world.
• The underground is the most comfortable

Write down this on your notebook and
complete the dialogue with the most suitable expression.
