BLC(Car A&B) having 20.32t axle load was designed for Modified variant of BLC with enhanced axle load of 22t
CONCOR by RDSO in mid 90’s. was renamed as BLCM
First rake was commissioned on IR network in 1998 Successfully tested in October 2007 for operation over IR
network
Consists of 5 car unit(with 2 outer A-Cars and three Same 5-car consist as BLC wagons
middle B-Cars)
Total of 9 car units(i.e. 45) forms rake Rake of BLCM consists of 45 wagons.

Operates in single and double stack configuration with Operates primarily with empty and loaded double stack

BLCS WAGONS – NEW DESIGN DEVELOPED BY RDSO FOR DFC OPERATION

BLCS WAGON

INTRODUCTION
BLCS(Car A&B) having enhanced axle load of 25 has been designed by Wagon Dte of RDSO for DFC
operation
This design will enable to maximize the utilization of capacity in DSC configuration
Designed for both Uniform distributed and Point loading.
Total of 9 car units(i.e. 45) forms rake
Fitted with LWLH bogies.
Designed to operates in single and double stack configuration upto a speed of 100 kmph
Prototype has been completed at GOC workshop Trichy.
