Pythagoras theorem

What is the Pythagoras theorem??????
In mathematics, the Pythagorean theorem, also
known as Pythagoras's theorem, is a fundamental
relation in Euclidean geometry among the three
sides of a right triangle. It states that the area of the
square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side
opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the
areas of the squares on the other two sides.
This theorem can be written as an equation relating
the lengths of the sides a, b and c, often called the
"Pythagorean equation"
Verifying Pythagoras theorem
Proof by rearrangement Then take these triangles and put them so
To prove the Pythagoras theorem, firstly they cover the perimeter of a square by
take 4 identical triangles with the same leaving a square gap in the middle of the
dimensions. Then name the sides. shape. Like so..
Verifying Pythagoras theorem
We can see that the side c of each Then rearrange the triangles in the big
triangle in inside so we can simplify the square like in the picture below. Which will
area of the inner triangle as c². make 2 squares with areas b² and a².
Verifying Pythagoras theorem
As we can see from both of the squares, the empty space in the first square is
c² and the empty space in the second square is a² and b² which basically is a²
+ b², so we can see that a² + b² = c². This is the formula of Pythagoras theorem.
So therefore this method shows us that the Pythagoras theorem is true and
this method is the proof for that.
