Use your full name when you sign into the classroom.
choosea quiet space, free from distractions, to set
yourself up for class.
Avoid multi tasking while the online class in on going.
Turnoff cell phones, TVs, etc. Exit other applications
on your computer prior to entering the classroom.
Come to class early.
Dress appropriately. Remember this is still a classroom
setting.
When you enter the classroom, make sure to enable
both audio and video.
You can click “Start Video” and “Join Audio” in the
bottom menu. For audio connection, you can
choose to connect via the computer or dial-in on
your phone.
Mute your microphone during the lesson to avoid
disturbing the class with any background noise.
Be respectful.
When your learners have a question or
comment, orient them to use “Raise your
Hand” button.
Don’t forget to acknowledged learners.
Use the chat responsibly. It is meant to
facilitate conversation around the lesson topic,
not for sideline discussions.
When your class is over, leave the classroom
by closing the window.
Use clear and concise language
Always log out when you are finished
using the system.
Avoid using the caps lock feature AS IT
CAN BE INTERPRETTED AS YELLING.
Limit and possibly avoid the use of
emoticons like :) or .
Be cautious when using humor or sarcasm
as tone is sometimes lost in an email or
discussion post and your message might
be taken seriously or sound offensive.
Be careful with personal information
(both yours and other’s).
