Classroom Guidelines
 Leave your bags outside the room;
 When you come into the room, sit quietly and
await instructions from your teacher;
 Do not touch the computers or keyboards
unless you have been told to by your
teacher;
 If you have a question, do not shout out. Put
up your hand and wait quietly for your
teacher;

 Always bring your student card to class –


equipment will not be loaned to a student
without one;
 NEVER let equipment you have borrowed
out of your sight;
 If something is lost or broken, tell your
teacher or the technician IMMEDIATELY;
Classroom Guidelines
 Save all your work on your account unless
you have been told to do otherwise;
 Press ‘save’ regularly;
 Always footnote all your work;
 At the end of class, log off, put away all
equipment, push your chair under the
desk;
Film Studies Rules
 NO eating or drinking in class (water is
acceptable);
 NO running or walking around the room;
 NO spinning or sliding on chairs;
 NO talking when your teacher is talking;
 NO use of computers for personal reasons
including messaging, facebook, personal e-mails,
playing computer games;
 NO downloading software onto the computers or
altering the operating system in any way;
Possible Outcomes:
 First time – warning
 Second time – note home
 Third time – removal of log-in privileges for
a time befitting the offence.
Always talk to your teacher if
you have any questions or
concerns.

 Write a script about something related to
this year’s AOI focus. Your script should be
no longer than one scene (one page).
 Plan and prepare the mise en scene for
your scene using storyboards and shot lists.
 Shoot your scene.
 Edit your scene using Final Cut Pro.
