How to deal with ragging

and bullying in schools


BULLYING EFFECTS

The term Bullying can be defined as the use of one's force,


coercion and/or threat to abuse others. It becomes the
habit of a person who is bullying others. Here the person
aggressively dominates the will of others. It includes
teasing,taunts, sexual comments,spreading of rumours
Ragging is the harassment, abusive
behaviour or humiliation of the new student
either in school, college or even in the
workplace. Ragging is for the initial period
only
Children
are the softest and kind-
hearted people as they
have tender feelings,
and they
should be taken care of
very diligently. But they
were the victims of
bullying
FOLLOWING ARE THE
ways which can help to prevent these kinds of
situations:-
1. School Management
and Staff Members

● Teachers and other

staff members (non-teaching staff members) should try to notice these kinds of

activities in the school premises.

● The teachers and

other staff members should be given proper training in bullying involvement,

and it's anticipation and also how to respond in such kinds of situations.
2. Parents
● Parents should develop an open relationship with their children so that the child tells
them each and everything.

● They should maintain a routine to tell "what happened today" so that parents were
aware of the situation.

● Parents should also give the counselling to their children up to their level in a friendly
and appropriate manner.

● Parents should check about the friends' circle of their children as their children also tend
to behave similarly.
3. Students
● Try to be bold and
confident.
 
● If anyone tries to
bully you, do not feel scared
and do not shake hands and
legs.
 
● Be polite and
humble to others.
