• Before initial start-up, check whether pipings have been cleaned according to
instruction and tested under pressure.
According to instructions, all safety armatures are to be checked in view of function.
• Close all gas or oil shut-off devices at the burners.
• Switch on combustion air,Iginition Air & Combustion fan as well as ID fan.
• Put control devices into manual operation and completely open air butterfly valves of
all zones.
• Open all air shut-off valves at the burner as well as furnace doors and waste gas
dampers. Aerate furnace and waste gas flues according to local regulations.
• Exhaust the air from gas pipes and gas according to local regulations, even when
piping have been tested under pressure with nitrogen.
• Check whether the oil pump has been put into operation according to instruction and
runs faultless.
• After sufficient ventilation, prepare burner ignition and open safety shut-off valve and
main gas valve. Gas safety shut-off valve and/or main gas valve to be opened. Gas
respectively oil control devices to be adjusted to approx. 1/4" open.

 Before Start Up the pressure of Mixed Gas/Coke Oven Gas
Working Pressure-105 mBar
Maximum Pressure(Trip Limit)-150 mBar
Minimum Pressure(Become unhealthy)-40 mbar
FOLLOWING STEPS AFTER CHECKING START INTERLOCKHAS TO BE FOLLOWED

 Execute start push button after checking start interlock (500ms ) and u will find following steps getting
executed in SFC

 Release integrator for purge .


 start Main burner leakage test (1s).
 Main burner check time elapsed 1 sec.
 Purge volume achieved (main burner complete).
 Pilot burner leakage test.
 Purge volume achieved(pilot burner) and time elapsed .
 Wait time for 2 sec.
 Close YS 8408 vent valve (Within 5 sec).
 Release to open YS 8406 & YS 8407(Within 1 sec).
 All selected burners will start igniting and shall be taken in
operation .
