Experience and Learnings
I came across the General Electric GE Virtual Internship being offered on the
InsideSherpa platform. The General Electric Virtual Internship revolves around the
pivot of Digital Technology. This program involved insights into Enterprise Resource
Planning.
The virtual internship included three tasks as follows:
TASK 1: Create a high level Business Process Map
TASK 2: Summarize a Problem Statement
TASK 3: Identify Potential Solution
Every task came with a Task Narrative attached which described the roles of
people in the services function and what they may view as critical with respect to
the service being performed. One of the things that made this program extremely
useful and informative was the rich collection of resources that were provided
alongside every task.
Through this virtual internship I learnt about Process Mapping, understanding
value chain input and output, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and the Enterprise
Software Module.
