Review : Game – “What am I? ”.
a.I have an exact location in space.
I am represented by a dot.
b.I have no endpoint and I can go
on an on in opposite directions.
c.I start out at a point and can be
extended in one direction.
d.I am a part of a line with two
endpoints.
Motivation

What can you see in the picture?

How do they form their lines?
Presentation: Game: Forming Lines
Form different kinds of lines depending on the
instruction given:
a. All those whose birth month is June will form
2 straight lines.
b. All those who are wearing T- shirts will form 2
lines that meet at the center.
c. All those whose birth month is March will
form one line and another line for those who
were born in August. Then , form 2 lines that
show square corners.
The illustrations below show the lines that
You formed

of the CI and AI?
4. Which lines are parallel?
5. Which lines are perpendicular?
Summarizing the Lesson

Parallel lines are lines that do not

meet. Intersecting lines are lines
that cross each other. Perpendicular
lines are lines that intersect and
form square corners.
Apply Your Skills!

Using a ruler and a set square , draw

each pair of lines in the given
statements.
1. Line AB and line CD are parallel lines
2. Line EF and line GH are perpendicular
lines
3. Line L J and line KL are intersecting
lines. They intersect at point M.

d. Striped t-shirt
5. Which is not a true statement?
a. two intersecting lines meet at a point
b. perpendicular lines form square corners
c. parallel lines do not meet
d. intersecting lines do not meet
