INTRODUCTION

Adani Group is an Indian Company which was founded by Gautam Adani in 1988 as a commodity trading business, with the
flagship company Adani Enterprises Limited. The Group's diverse businesses include energy, resources, logistics,
agribusiness, real estate, financial services, defence and aerospace.
 
Adani wilmar Limited is one of their joint venture company between Wilmar International Limited(Singapore)and Adani
Enterprise limited in January 1999. “Fortune” cooking oil is their venture most prestigious brand the Adani Wilmar product’s
portfolio. It became the No.1 brand in the market within just 2 years of its launch and still continues to be a leader. It not only
has the largest range of cooking oils in India, but also continues to innovate and lead the cooking oil industry with new
introductions recently.
They have the largest distribution network among all branded edible oil players in India. With more than 93 stock points ,
5000 distributors and *10% retail penetration which span across approx 1 million outlets all over India.

Suggestions: Adani Wilmar Ltd. should reward valuable contribution to its employees and embrace transparency.
They should promote team atmosphere and solicit regular feedback.
Updates in HR policies of Fortune Edible Oil during COVID-19 pandemic

Sick leave arrangements:


• If you have cold symptoms, such as cough/sneezing/fever, or feel poorly, request sick leave or work from home.
• If you have a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, you can return to the office only after you’ve fully recovered, with a doctor’s
note confirming your recovery.
Work from home requests:
• If you are feeling ill, but you are able to work, you can request to work from home.
• If you need to provide care to a family member infected by COVID-19, request work from home. You’ll only be permitted to
return to the office 14 calendar days after your family member has fully recovered, provided that you’re asymptomatic or you
have a doctor’s note confirming you don’t have the virus. You will also be asked not to come into physical contact with any
colleagues during this time.
Traveling/commuting measures:
• All work trips and events – both domestic and international – will be cancelled/postponed until further notice.
• If you are planning to travel voluntarily to a high-risk country with increased COVID-19 cases, we’ll ask you to work from
home for 14 calendar days. You will also be asked not to come into physical contact with any colleagues during this time.
General hygiene rules:
• If you find yourself coughing/sneezing on a regular basis, avoid close physical contact with your coworkers and take extra
precautionary measures (such as requesting sick leave).
• Avoid touching your face, particularly eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands to prevent from getting infected.
• Cough/sneeze into your sleeve, preferably into your elbow. If you use a tissue, discard it properly and clean/sanitize your
hands immediately.

Through the above critical analysis it has been found the company’s operating revenues
range is over 400 crore for the financial year of 31stMarch 2019. Although the market
share of company during the financial years of 2017-18 were not that significant but
over the years due to new product introduction and new techniques of market
distribution there has been a significant rise in the value of share in the market,
which can be seen in the above chart.
CONCLUSION

Fortune oil is one common item in our daily lives. People do not give much importance
to it, but taking decisions regarding purchase of different type of oils and choosing
the best brand from among the multiple available brands is the most difficult
decision.
So from this report I am trying to showcase how a brand like “Fortune” is operating its
business model and also its Human Resource policies. The measures taken during
this lockdown period for doing business and also the measures it has taken for its
employees.
