Verbs end with s/es
Final –s is added to most verbs. Many Work – works; read – reads;
verbs end in –e and final –s is simply suggest- suggests
added.
Write- writes; take – takes;
make – makes
The verbs ending in –sh, -ch, -ss, -x, -o get Wash – washes; Catch- catches;
a final –es. Discuss – discusses; Fix – fixes;
Do – does
If the verbs end in a –y coming after Cry – cries; Fly- flies; Try – tries
another consonant letter, -y is omitted and
–ies is added to the verb
Play-plays; Stay- stays
But if the verb ends in a –y coming after a
vowel, -s is simply added to the verb; -ies
is not used
