Anchor Verse "So there are three that testify, the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and the three are of one accord." John 5:7-8
The Grace We Seek:
We ask for the grace to help us anchor our marriage in the Trinity every day. Topic God, in His ultimate desire to share His divine life with Humanity, bestowed upon man and woman in marriage a distinct mission - to be God's vessel of love for each person. The church teaches: "Since God created him man and woman, their mutual love becomes an image of the absolute and unfailing love with which God loves man" (CCC,1604). Clearly, the 3 persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - in one God, who is truly present during creation, calls man and woman to unconditionally love, reflecting who God is. Each person in the Holy Trinity imparts fundamental aspects of faith in the mission shared by every man and woman with God: FATHER The narration of man's creation in Genesis indicates that God made both man and woman in His own image and likeness. Man and Woman is the perfect image of God whereby goodness resides naturally.
Clearly, man and woman have the same
dignity. They are both son and daughter of God and thus, belonging to the same family. In the daily witnessing of married life, both husband and wife are equal yet they perform important and complimentary roles. JESUS St. Paul describes an image to the people of Ephesus on how husband and wife should love each other. " Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives , just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word , and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies . He who loves his wife loves himself" (Ephesians 5:22 - 28). The following verses associate the link Jesus and his Church, the head and its body, and the relationship between husband and wife. The submission of the wife (Church) and the love of the husband (Jesus) clearly indicates a way of life in marriage - total service, a natural expression of love, to one another. HOLY The paraclete, the promised spirit of Jesus, is the agent of mission in guiding SPIRIT the path, deepening our relationship with God, and blessing the work of the hands of all baptized individuals engaged in mission. While fully involved in mission, the holy Spirit principally sanctifies (makes holy) each person. In the vocation of marriage, the Holy Spirit constantly guides both husband and wife in their common call of witnessing to life in mission. Each is blessed abudantly with grace from the Spirit. So that together as husband and wife, acknowledging their differences yet choosing to hold each other's hands, ach one becomes the other's path to holiness. "When a man and woman celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony, God as it were "is mirrored" in them; he impresses in them his own features and the indelible character of his love. Marriage is the icon of God's love for us. Indeed, God is Key communion too: the three Persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Takeaway Spirit live eternally in perfect unity. And this is precisely the mystery of Matrimony: God makes of the two spouses one single life." • How do you exercise oneness GUIDE or unity in marriage?
