What is Society?

If we dig down deep enough there is still a

debate on the definition of ‘SOCIETY’. But, one of
the best ways to define the term society can be "the
systematic organisation of the people forming a
community for mutual empowerment and security ,
can be termed as a society ."

In the present world the term society has taken

broader meanings due to the advent of
globalisation and modernisation. The Western
Society, The Eastern Society etc..
Why do we form a Society?

 Development  Security

United we stand, Divided we fall

If we consider the social structure analogous to a complex machine , we can say that when all
the parts function in unison , the society progresses which in turn leads to the development of the
whole race but when any of the parts doesn't function properly or misfunctions, it poses a threat to
the whole social structure.
Why does any component of the society misfunction?

Nothing is perfect, this structure too has

its own defects. At a social level, uneven
distribution of resources among the society
leads to the misfunctioning of some part of
the society i.e leading some people towards
crime.

At an individual level different reasons

like greed ,fear etc can be the reasons.
How to ensure proper functioning of the society?

 Education.

 Updating our definitions of caste/race/religion.
