How Is Language Learned?

A child’s first language is learned by listening


and speaking.
Reading and writing comes much later after
there is a good oral language foundation.
Children speak first in single words and then
in short sentences.
Children learn nouns, adjectives, and verbs
first. Grammar comes later.

 Focus on the task/topic
 Laugh:
Do this when you meet someone. Before you start
speaking with someone tell yourself a joke or
think something funny. Start to laugh. Laugh
harder. Laugh louder. Laughter will make you
feel better and more relaxed. It will also push air
into your lungs and help you to speak better.
