What is climate change?
• Climate change is a change in the usual weather found in a
place. This could be a change in how much rain a place
usually gets in a year. Or it could be a change in a place's
usual temperature for a month or season. Climate change
is also a change in Earth's climate.
The Causes of Climate Change
Humans
Humans are increasingly influencing the climate and the
earth's temperature by burning fossil fuels, cutting down
rainforests and farming livestock.
Greenhouse gases
Many of these gases occur naturally, but human activity is
increasing the concentrations of some of them in the
atmosphere, in particular:
• Carbon dioxide (CO2).
• Methane.
• Nitrous oxide.
• Fluorinated gases
• Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
• Water vapor.
The Effects of Climate Change

• Rising maximum temperatures

• Rising minimum temperatures
• Rising sea levels
• Higher ocean temperatures
• Shrinking glaciers
• An increase in hunger and water crises
• Health risks
• Economic implications
• Increasing spread of pests and pathogens
• Loss of biodiversity
• Ocean acidification
• The need for adaptation in all areas
Climate Change Solutions
• Invest in renewables
• Consume less, west less, enjoy life more
• Green your commute
• Get charged up with renewables
• Use energy wisely
• Eliminating forego fossil fuels
• Stop cutting trees
• Alternative infrastructure up grade
That's all thanks for your attention
