Climate Change

• The change in the weather pattern of a place over a longer


period of time.

• It includes the change in the usual weather, temperature,


rainfall (etc.).

• In the context of Nepal, it is very sensitive in regard to


climate change.
Sources to Cause It
• Increase in the temperature of the earth due to Global Warming
and Green House Effect.

• Release of Greenhouse Gases from industries directly in the


atmosphere.

• Increment in the amount of carbon dioxide because of


immoderate deforestation.

• Emission of harmful gases and smokes from volcanic eruption


in large amount.
Effects to be Observed
• Frequent change and rise in the temperature of the atmosphere
of the earth.

• Warming of oceans leads to ocean acidification and impacts


aquatic life.

• Causes more frequent and intense natural disasters such as


hurricane (etc.).

• Impacts human health and may put the lives of various plants
and animals at risk.
Measures to be Applied
• Encouragement of the use of renewable and alternative sources
of energy.

• Plantation of vegetations in barren lands and vacant places


and declining deforestation.

• Reducing the wastes, reusing them in all possible ways and


recycling the materials.

• Spreading knowledge and concerns of climate change, it’s


causes, effects and solutions.
