Caterine Ibarguen

• Caterine Ibarguen was born in apartado Antioquia on February 12,

1984, she played volleyball when she was 12 years old. Her coach,
seeing her potential, suggested that she move to Medellin, where she
started to practice athletics since from 15 years of age.
• She is my favorite athlete because she teaches us, if you train and are
dedicated, you get results, she was out of the beijing Olimpics after her
failure at the Moscow world indoor championships. He almost dropped
out of athletics until his coach recommended that he focus on the long
jump and triple jump.
