Prepositions and

prepositional phrases
A prepositional phrase consists of a preposition and an object . The object in
the prepositional phrase can be one of the following noun structures:

Noun (phrase ): I sat by my mother


Pronoun : I sat by her
Gerund phrase :She entertains herself by
reading
Noun phrase :I could tell from what you
said that you are not interested in this book
Infinitives Cannot
