Plastic waste Reduction using 3R model (Executive Summary)
Reduce: Any good initiative should start within ourselves so we should avoid using plastics where we are using excessively. Elimination of problematic or unnecessary plastic packaging through innovation, and new delivery models is a priority. Through Logistics we can control avoiding plastic usage.
Some Plastic items such as Shampoo Bottles, Plastic Bags, Bread Wrappers and takeaway food containers can be Recycled.(Newplasticseconomy.org)
Recycle/Reuse : Firstly we can collect the used plastic materials from the consumers by giving them some coupons on the daily products to buy or from (LOREAL) and also providing them one dustbin initially and making them realize the impact of plastic wastage. Logos of 3R modelling on the products would definitely make an impact on this after all
the setup of Warehouses and recycling processes. we should make a Warehouse in each of the tier 1 and tier 2 cities primarily.
Then According to the number of items we collect at the end of the day, we sort them accordingly as they have default in them or need some data sorting . We will tie up with the partnering network of recycling companies, to propose optimal services regardless of the volume, size and type of waste products generated.
Our strategy will be a boon in the market as our company will be the first one to make the warehouses in the major cities and we will the first one to collect the plastic goods from each individual houses and therefore can be the monopoly market.
