INTRODUCTION
1. N. R. Narayana Murthy, is an Indian IT Industrialist and the founder of Infosys. At IIM he worked on
India’s first time sharing computer system and designed and implemented a basic interpreter for
electronic Corporation of India Limited. He started Infosys in 1981 and served as its CEO from 9881
to 2002 and as a chairman from 2000 to 2011.
2. Infosys was convince in 1981 in Pune by Narayana Murthy, Nandan nilekani, N. S. Raghavan,
S.Gopalakrishnan, S. D shibulal, K. Dinesh and Ashok Arora all former employees of patni computer
system.
3. The company was started with meager initial capital of Rs. 10000 and was named Infosys
Consultants.
4. Present CEO of Infosys is Salil Parekh.
5. Infosys is the Indian multinational company multinational provider of business Consulting,
information technology, software engineer and Outsourcing services.
6. It was registered as Infosys consultant private limited on 2 nd July
1981.In 1983 it relocated it’s office to Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
and was later renamed to Infosys Limited in June 2011.
7. It has its headquarters in Electronic City, Bengaluru.
8. It is a public company founded on 7 th July 1981.
9. Infosys as more than 225, 000 employees.
10. Infosys is the third largest Indian based IT service company by
2012 revenues and the second largest employee of h-I b visa
professional inorted state.
