Definition
• Global plagiarism means taking an entire work by
someone else and passing it off as your own.
• This includes having a friend or family member
write your work for you or paying for someone to
finish your work
• Because it involves deliberately and directly lying
about the authorship of a work, this is one of the
most serious types of plagiarism

Ways to prevent global plagiarism
1) Understand the context.
- Restrain yourself from copying and pasting the whole text directly from the
reference paper.
- Understand and analyze the main ideas of the reference source well so that,
you can paraphrase correctly.

2) Quote
- By using quotation, it helps you indicate that the text has been taken from
another research paper.
- You must not remove or add any words in the quotation as the quotation
should be exactly the way they appear in the paper that you take them from.

3) Identify what is important to be cited.


- Any words or ideas that are not your own but taken from another paper
should be cited.
- You must also cite yourself if you are using the content from your previous
paper. Using material that you have published before without citation is
called self-plagiarism.
