1.1 THE MEANING OF PHILOSOPHY
“PHILOSOPHY”
- comes from two Greek words
philo ‘to love’
sophia ‘wisdom’
- originally meant, “love of wisdom”
- defined as the science that by natural light of reason
studies the first causes or highest principles of all things.
