Positive Relationships in
Classroom
• A positive relationship should bring more
happiness than unhappiness into a young
person’s life. They should feel good about
themselves, not guilty, angry, depressed or
upset.
• All positive relationships have the
following in common: kindness, mutual and
respect.
• Positive teacher-student relationships promote
a sense of school belonging and encourage
students to participate cooperatively.

• Students develop confidence to experiment and
succeed in an environment where they are not
restricted by fear of failure.
• Positive Relationship encourage students
motivation and engagement in learning. Older
students need to feel that their teachers respect
their opinions and interests just as much as
younger students to.
