What is clam-shell bucket?
The clam-shell bucket is a sophisticated articulating two-piece bucket
mechanically hinged at the middle to form a claw-like appendage
with an internal volume.
How it is designed?
• It is attached by a hangar or bracket and uses
ground engaging tool on its cutting edge to dig
in a vertical direction.
• Clam-shell buckets are commonly used in
dredging, excavation or material handling.
• However, each application has its unique
requirements and has to be designed optimally
for maximum efficiency.
• The design, develop and manufacture both
hydraulic and mechanical clam-shell used on
excavators and cranes.
Why these Clam-shell buckets are designed?
• Designed for durability for all material loading needs in field of work
towards higher productivity.
• Specially designed tooth point are equipped on the cutting edge to provide
higher strength and longer life.
• Hydraulic rotation and knock-around manual rotation is available.
Light (P<1.2t/m3)
Medium (P=1.2~2.0t/m3)
Heavy (P=2.0~2.6t/m3)
Extra-heavy type (P>2.6t/m3)
Rope type: the rope grab relies on the wire rope to create a closed force to
achieve the purpose of grasping the material. The rope grab is divided into single
rope, double rope and four-rope grab.
Power grab: power grab through the load on the power unit and the transmission
device to open and close the jaw plate, such as: electric grab, motor grab.
According to the number of jaw plate,
the grab can be divided into:
Double jaw plate grab
Multiple jaw plate grab
