Blighted Ovum
This condition happens in a very early
pregnancy just after conception.
It is when the implanted fertilized egg in the
uterus fails to further develop into an
embryo thus resulting to pregnancy loss.
Ectopic Pregnancy

This is a condition where the


fertilized egg implants outside the
uterus.
It is also known as “Tubal
pregnancy.”
Polycystic Ovary

Also known as PCOS, is a hormonal


imbalance in the sex hormones estrogen and
progesterone levels of a woman. This
hormonal imbalance can result to difficulties
in pregnancies.
Myoma

It is also known as fibroid, is a


benign tumor that develops in or
around the uterus.

Preeclampsia

It is a condition that usually occurs and


affects pregnant women during the 2nd half
of pregnancy or soon after their baby is
delivered.
Placenta Privia
It is an obsteric complication that is
generally defined as the implantation of
the placenta near to, or, overlying the
outlet of the uterus.
Gestational Diabetes
It is a type of diabetes that affects
women during pregnancy.
It is a condition where there is too
much glucose in the blood.
SUHI(Breech Position)

Babies in this position are usually


delivered by C-section.

B. POST- PREGNANCY

Postpartum Disorder

This includes emotional mood swings,


feeling of rejection, crying spells, loneliness
and being overwhelmed.
It is defined as depression with onset within
four after weeks after childbirth.
Sepsis
It is a serious medical condition
wherein the body has an overwhelming
immune response to bacterial infection.
It may also be caused by viral or fungal
infections.
Tubal Ligation

It is a major surgery which can be


performed immediately after
childbirth through a small incision
near the naval or during caesarean
delivery.
HILOT or Birth Attendants

Many pregnant women, especially in remote


barrios and municipalities, rely on
traditional birth attendants known as
manghihilot.
A manghihilot is often older woman and
respected woman who consider herself as
private health care practitioner who respond
to request for service.
