HISTORY
• Incorporated on 1st April 1902 by Jamsetji Tata.

• Open its first property, The Taj Hotel Bombay on


16th December 1903.

• In 1970 launched IPO.

• In 1974, started first five star beach resort, Fort Aguada


Beach Resort, Goa.

• 65% of IHCL Revenue Comes from Taj, 30% comes


from Vivanta by Taj and Gateway and 5% comes from

INTRODUCTION OF IHCL
• IHCL and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj
resort and palace, belonging to India's prestigious Tata
group.

• IHCL has 76 hotel (17 hotel in international), 7 palaces, 6


private island, 12 resorts and spas, spanning 52
destination in 12 countries across 5 continent employees
over 15,000.

• IHCL is also involve in airline catering, travel agency,


private jet operation, luxury yachts.

• It covers 20-25% of Indian Hotel Industry.
