you & your prospective employer
• Create a resume specific to the job
• Never fake or lie in a resume
• Take help of friends, relatives, professional
resume writers
• Never copy another resume because the
Interviewer is an expert at reading resumes
Email Response
• Reply promptly, with courtesy
• Be specific
• Always attach a Cover Letter with your resume
(when sending a hard copy) or write your CL in
the mail
• Ask for the job
• Don’t forget to mention your suitability for the
Role & what value you can bring on board
Telephonic Response- Incoming
• Always answer your phone, crisply and with
confidence
• Listen with rapt attention – Take the name of the
caller and his designation
• Never lie or sound confused
• Thank the Caller for giving you the wonderful
opportunity
• If not interested be direct & don’t shy away from
giving any reference
Telephonic Response - Outgoing
• Never call from a busy location or a place
where you cannot answer the questions
comfortably
• Always identify yourself and mention the
reason of your call
• Pleasant Mannerisms & Thank the person for
his/her time

• Take a printout of the interview call letter or
carry original call letter (if sent by mail)
• Print 2- 3 copies of your latest resume or CV.
Use laser printer for best results
• Attach a colour photograph to each resume.
The interviewer may forget your name, but
not your face. Will be useful, when he/she is
grading you afterwards (In case of mass hiring)
‘d-1’ Day
• Carry 2 pens and all your certificates &
marksheets for the interview
• Select a formal shirt, pant & tie and have then
ironed & washed (if required). Always choose
clothes that you feel comfortable wearing. Do
not forget to carry a clean handkerchief
• Polish your shoes well in advance
• Go to bed early….. A properly rested brain is
more alert & responsive to interviewers
