INTRODUCTION
• Level of service (LOS) is a mechanism used to determine how well a
transportation facility is operating from a traveler's perspective. Quality of service
describes how well a transportation facility or service operates from a traveler’s
perspective. A planning LOS evaluation is also used to identify study areas in
Future Conditions.
METHODOLOGY
Level of Service (LOS) is a qualitative measure used to relate the quality of traffic
service. LOS used to analyze and categorize highways. This are the specific data to
use:
• Road way Factors
• Traffic Factors
• Speed and Travel Time
• Freedom of travel with desired speed
• Driving Comfort and Convenience
• Operating cost

LEVEL OF SERVICE (E)
• traffic flow conditions have a percent time-spent-following greater than 80
percent on Class I highways and greater than 85 percent on Class II. Even under
base conditions, speeds may drop below 40 mph. Average travel speeds on
highways with less than base conditions will be slower, even down to 25 mph (40
kph) on sustained upgrades. Passing is virtually impossible at LOS E, and
platooning becomes intense, as slower vehicles or other interruptions are
encountered.
RECOMMENDATION
• Minimize yellow boxes near Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, due to many
stop overs of Public Utility Vehicle the level of service is lowered.
• To have a priority lane for Large Vehicle (8+ wheelers) bound to Diversion in the
intersection of Caltex. This part of the road caused heavy traffic.
• To apply No parking in all road in in Casisang-San Jose Sayre Highway
