HOTS AND LOTS IN BLOOM

TAXONOMY
Bloom Taxonomy

• It is a classification of the different levels of thinking when


creating learning objectives and outcomes.
• It is a framework used for writing assessments and
assignments that represents for cognitive, affective and
psychomotor.
The original Bloom’s taxonomy (1956) by Benjamin
Bloom:

The revised version of Bloom’s taxonomy (2001) by
Lorin Anderson and David Krathwohl:

Bloom taxonomy divides cognitive domain into two six
levels namely LOTs and HOTs.

information?
2 Understanding Can the learner explain ideas or concepts?
3 Applying Can the learner use the information in a new

various parts or components or the whole?
5 Evaluating Can the learner justify a position or decision?
6 Creating Can the learner create a new product, generate a
new idea, or create a different thought process?
HOTs in the modern world includes:

• Problem solving (menyelesaikan masalah)


• Critical thinking (berpikir kritis)
• Creative thinking (berpikir kreatif)
• Reasoning (kemampuan berargumen)
• Decision making (kemampuan mengambil keputusan)
Problem Solving is

• A particular strategy or technique used to encounter the new


situation so that the condition can be passed out
Critical Thinking is

• A way of deciding whether a claim is true, partially true, or


false.
Creative Thinking is

• A effort or mental activity of creating new ideas. It provides


various possible answers from the question/case.
Reasoning is

• A thinking porcess which tries to connect various facts, cases


or proofs in order to take a conclusion.
Decision making is

• An altenative choice process from someone’s action in a


particular situation .
Langkah-langkah penyusunan soal HOTS dalam K-13

• Menganalisis KD yang dapat dibuatkan soal HOTS


• Menyusun kisi-kisi soal sebagai panduan dalam memilih KD,
memilih materi pokok yang terkait dengan KD yang diuji,
merumuskan indikator soal, menentukan level kognitif
• Menulis butir pertanyaan sesuai dengan kisi-kisi soal
• Membuat pedoman penskoran/rubrik penilaian

sebagai acuan menulis soal yang meliputi:
• KD yang akan diukur
• IPK
• Materi
• Indikator soal
