TEXT INFORMATION

• Informational text or text information is nonfiction


writing, written with the intention of informing the reader
about a specific topic. ... They are written using special
text features that allow the reader to easily find key
information and understand the main topic.
VISUAL INFORMATION

• Use of one or more of the various visual media with or


without sound. Generally, visual information includes still
photography, motion picture photography, video or audio
recording, graphic arts, visual aids, models, display,
visual presentation services, and the support processes.
AUDIO INFORMATION

• Audio information and media What is audio information


and media ? - are materials or sound that are transmitted,
produced or received thru high fidelity waves that are
heard thru certain equipment. What are the characteristics
and uses of audio information and media? • First, it is
ideal for existing music and noise.
MOTION INFORMATION

• This is the use of moving text, images, or graphics on


display to give information. It is a combination of sight
and sound media.
MANIPULATIVE INFORMATION

• Loosely defined as any material, program, or


application.
• Use to formulate new information to aid learning
through the use, analysis, evaluation, and
production of interactive and hands-on media.
MULTIMEDIA INFORMATION

• Multimedia is a form of communication that combines


different content forms such as text, audio, images,
animations, or video into a single presentation, in contrast
to traditional mass media, such as printed material or
audio recordings.
ADVANTAGES

• CREATIVITY - it brings more life to discussions.


• VARIETY - It caters all types of learners.
• COST EFFECTIVE - Multimedia mostly requires only a one-time purchase
of devices and software, which can be used unlimited times thereafter.
• REALISTIC APPROACH - It provides approaches which make learning
more realistic.
DISADVANTAGES

• ACCESSIBILITY - Multimedia requires electricity to be


operated, which may not be available in some rural areas or may
not be consistently available due to shortages and blackouts.
• DISTRACTING - Mulitimedia may take away the focus from the
lesson due to its attention-grabbing formats.
• COSTLY
• TIME CONSUMING - Creating multimedia requires more time.
