Introduction
 Transportation is the act or process of moving 1
people or things from one place to another.

 Roundabout is a type of intersection that is used to

make the vehicular flow slow and avoid accidents
when approaching the intersection.

 Traffic management system is used to minimize the

traffic congestion and other types of road problems. It
also improves the efficiency and safety of the
transportation mediums.

Objectives of the Study
The main objective of this study is to propose a traffic
management system for Liwasang Jose N. Lico Park. Particularly it
aims to:
 Determine the peak hour volume in Liwasang Jose N. Lico Park.
 Determine the demand flow of the vehicles entering and
circulating in the roundabout during peak hour.
 Determine the performance of the existing design of
roundabout in terms of control delay and level of service.
 Determine the performance of the proposed TMS in terms of
control delay and level of service.

Conclusion and Recommendation
 Based on the results computed by the researchers, it
shows that the best traffic management plan for
Liwasang Jose N. Lico Park Roundabout is the TMS 2
because the average control delay decreases by around
8-25 s/veh from the original. It states that as the delay
decreases the level of service increases.

Based on the findings of the study, these

recommendations for the future researchers were offered.
 Rerouting.
 Pavement improvement.
 Strict Implementation of the City Ordinance No. 2016-

722.
